“Hudson Architects’ Salvation Army Citadel Corps Chelmsford”, Essex has won two awards in the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) East Region Spirit of Ingenuity Awards 2009, which recognize ingenuity, design superiority and creativity of architecture in the counties of Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex. The building has won “the Community Architecture Award” as well as receiving the most coveted accolade-the East of England Building of the Year Award 2009. Sunday, November 8th, 2009The Hyundai Pony is perhaps the most iconic example of industrial design from Korea, says a survey conducted among 102 experts by a monthly design magazine “Design”. Design carried out the survey among designers and design professors to commemorate its 33rd anniversary, and “Pony” received 12.6 percent of the votes as the most iconic industrial design made in Korea in the last half-century. Designed by the famous Italian car designer Giorgetto Giugiaro in 1975, the Pony was widely acclaimed for its sleek and modern design and is thought to have levitated the level of design of Korean industrial products to a higher level.
