“Hudson Architects’ Salvation Army Citadel Corps Chelmsford”, Essex has won two awards in the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) East Region Spirit of Ingenuity Awards 2009, which recognize ingenuity, design superiority and creativity of architecture in the counties of Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex. The building has won “the Community Architecture Award” as well as receiving the most coveted accolade-the East of England Building of the Year Award 2009. Sunday, November 22nd, 2009European Design Labs 09 students enjoyed a workshop at Boisbuchet
Monday, October 12th, 2009Under the title “Back to Basics”, the workshop has been leaded by the designer Gala Fernández and the photographer Héléne Bergaz from August 2nd to August 8th, 2009 in Boisbuchet, France. The participating students investigated about the basics, the indispensable things we carry with us in a case, the ones we deem essential for daily life. After that, they have worked developing one product or service about these elements. With that purpose, all of them have begun with the use of an stenopeic camera, build from cardboard and other simple materials they own. They have also built a giant one.
